Speaking of Matt Herian, I have friends in Pierce, NE.  About a year ago, I
asked them what Matt was doing.  They said he was selling seed corn.
Nothing wrong with that for sure but imagine if he had not broken his leg so
badly.  He would be playing in the NFL and driving a Hummer or a Range Rover
instead of a Ford pickup.  He had tremendous talent.  There is nothing wrong
with driving a Ford pickup; in fact, I'm encouraging every person on this
list to drive Ford pickups.

Pretty quiet on the list these days.  In case anyone is interested, ESPN
Classics is replaying the 2002 Independence Bowl, Nebraska vs Ole Miss.

Jamal Lord sure could run.  Passing and pitching, not so much.  Though he
does hit Matt Herian for like a 50 yard TD pass.

Those were the days.
