[Husker] Fwd: Regular Season

I thought the 2001 Colorado game was worse. We were ranked #1 and lost 62-36, and it wasn't that close. I guess seeing a Colorado player run right up the middle is worse than Wisconsin player running down the side line. I hope the bowl game doesn't follow that pattern.

Losing a game really bothers me but by the next day it doesn't bother me at
all. I think what has people (me included) so upset with the Wisc. and OSU
games is we got "BLOWN OUT". There is no reason talent wise that this
should happen (in my opinion). I googled "ALL time Worst loss of NU
football" and the one that came up was the 2007 game against CU where CU
scored 67 points. We are plotting new territory. Lewis and Clark like.

Some stats from the 1996 Fiesta Bowl (Nebraska v Florida);
Rushing yards: Nebraska 524, Florida MINUS 28
I think those are both still records for ANY bowl game, much less a national
championship game. (And keep in mind that most of the 'experts' had
predicted Florida to win, with some going so far as to say that Nebraska
couldn't win on a grass field.)
You could consider last Saturday night karma that was some 17 years in the
making. (I know more than a few Northwestern fans who considered it karmic
payback for the 2000 Alamo Bowl.)
I kind of hope it isn't 17 years before Wisconsin experiences a similar
karmic event.
