Well said Steve!  We expect perfection from these kids and coaches and all too often forget that they are human beings too.  Everybody makes mistakes -- as seems to be more and more typical in our society, we place these folks on a pedestal for worship and adulation, but then can't wait to push them off when they don't meet our expectations.   Obviously, no one is above constructive criticism, especially the coaches who get paid well to do their jobs, but let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.  I don't care who you beat -- a 10 win season is pretty good!

I am quite certain the players and coaches feel badly about the outcome.  The only thing they can do is work to get better.
