I tend to think the recruiting experts are correct. My daughter dates a
professional hockey player, and he and I have been going back and forth for
two years about the Oregon uni's. He just loves them...and loves Oregon
because of them. He would fall in the age range of college players, and
does not have a US bias for any particular college team.
He loves the variety of the uni's...which is what I hate. I tease him that
the reason they have so many uniforms is because they can't make up their
mind on one good one. My personal favorite (low point) for Oregon was the
duck feet they wore against Auburn in the National Championship game. those
yellow leggings with yellow shoes. It was just funny.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with for NU. It also sounds
like NU is going for a "specialty jersey" (for one game), rather than an
alternate jersey. Kind of like the retro anniversary jerseys a couple years
ago.
