[if you lose formatting, I used Courier New 10]
I have been trying to find an edge that I can think everyone can relate to.
Last year RW led a 9-4 NC State team to a Bowl W over W VA. Let's look at
the losses to VA Tech(H), E Carolina(a), Clemson(a) and Maryland(a); and
signature W's over Seminoles(H) and W VA(Bowl).
Here are RW's stats in big 2010 games for NC St:
------------Total--Rushing----Passing---------
OPP---------YDS----A--Y--N----C---A--TD-I--YDS
VA TECH---- 396 10-42-34 21- 49- 3- 3- 362
E CAROL---- 359 10-39-37 26- 52- 1- 3- 322
FLA ST----- 247 17-90-69 18- 28- 1- 1- 178
CLEMSON---- 241 9-50-21 22- 36- 1- 1- 212
MARYLAND--- 364 17-95-53 31- 60- 2- 1- 311
W VIRGINIA- 316 14-60-41 28- 45- 2- 0- 275
Sub-Totals- 146-270-10-09-1660
**********************************************
* QB Rating = 111.27 *
* In 4 losses = 105.83 *

Comparatively, in his NCAA career:
QB Rating (Rank)
141 Career-ST-- 751-1271--87--27--9681
133 (41) - 2008 - 11 - 150- 275- 17- 01- 2343
148 (16) - 2009 - 12 - 224- 378- 31- 11- 3287
127 (62) - 2010 - 13 - 308- 527- 28- 14- 3563
218 ( 2) - 2011 - 4 - 69- 91- 11- 01- 1244
For a comparative snapshot, T-Magic has these results:
134 Career-17-- 159- 281- 14--09--2278
138 (37) - 2010 - 13 - 116- 196- 10- 07- 1631
Methinks that the Blackshirts, under the direction of Carl Pelini, will
present a formidable defensive game plan that will highlight the fact that
the gaudy 218 QB rating [ranked 2nd] was masterfully generated against much
lesser opponents.
OK, so the numbers to remember are summarized below.
*******************************************
* RW QB Rating: *
* 218 - This Year *
* 111 - Significant Games in 2010 *
* 141 - Career *
*******************************************
I'm not picking on RW, because he seems to be a great leader with good
character. UW *will* score points under his guidance. However, I really
look
for him to be stymied against the Blackshirts. Knowing that the first B1G
Ten match-up was against the Badgers, Pelini had no option but to play
possum against the Husker's non-conference foes. This will be RW's toughest
test and those that are riding his bandwagon will discontinue the calls for
a renaming of the stadium to Camp Russell.
Now, if he somehow pulls a 30-40 evening w/4 TDs and +300 yds, then forget
that you ever read this!
Go Big Red!
