OK, but here's my problem.

UNLV is 113th in the nation in pass defense, allowing 297 yards/game.
Wisconsin only got 258 passing against UNLV.

Oregon State is 58th in the nation in pass defense, allowing 210 yards/game.
Wisconsin got 189 yards passing against Oregon State.

Northern Illinois is 48th in the nation in pass defense, allowing 204 yards/game.
Wisconsin got 355 yards passing against Northern Illinois.

South Dakota is 81st in FCS in pass defense, allowing 235 yards/game.
Wisconsin got 345 yards passing against South Dakota.
Eastern Washington, a team that is 0-4, got 369 yards passing against
South Dakota.

In other words, in half of their games so far this season, Wisconsin
got fewer passing yards than the AVERAGE that their opponent is giving up.

Now, Nebraska is only 63rd in the nation in pass defense, allowing 216
yards a game, so maybe he'll light up the scoreboard in Madison on
Saturday again.

The Badgers do play three teams that currently have top 25 pass defenses
later this season, Illinois (11th), Penn State (10th) and Michigan State (8th)
so if Russell gets a trip to NYC in December, he'll have to earn it
against teams with, sorry to say, better defenses than what the
Huskers have shown so far this season.
