Here are Wisconsin's schedule results for this season so far. Although Oregon State is in the Big Ten, they lost to Sacramento State 29-28. Wisconsin similarly to Nebraska has had a convincing win over a good team so far.
Date Opponent Result / Time
9/1 vs. UNLV W 51 - 17
9/10 vs. Oregon State W 35 - 0
9/17 at Northern Illinois W 49 - 7
9/24 vs. South Dakota W 59 - 10
Below is a link to a story on Wisconsin's QB Russell Wilson. Here is a small portion from the piece:
Wilson enters Saturday night's game against Nebraska having thrown for 1,136 yards and 11 touchdowns in four games. He's thrown at least two touchdowns in all four games, and he is the first Wisconsin quarterback to throw for at least three touchdowns in three straight games.
He's also done all of this against an FCS opponent and three FBS teams that currently rank No. 113 (Northern Illinois), 114 (UNLV) and 119 (Oregon State) in pass-efficiency defense. (Those three teams rank No. 111, 100 and 70, respectively, in total defense.)

I agree that the story is Husker related, it's where you go from there that skirts the line between sports and politics.
Am I the only one in the country who thinks Russell Wilson has yet to prove himself in a big game? (Apparently not, see the ESPN Big Ten blog.)
