Of course, these number don't account for such variables as Persa.
Purely from a numbers point-of-view, Northwestern's loss to Army
looks pretty bad. Army is 1-3 with losses to N Illinois, San Diego
St, and Ball St. Northwestern's best win is was 24-17 over Boston
College (which is 1-3, with loses to UCF and Duke and a win over
Massachusetts, and which Massey ranks #102). Northwestern's other
win was E Illinois, which has losses to Jacksonville St and Tennessee
Tech. It's early and some teams haven't played much of a schedule.
As a point of reference, Massey has three teams NU has beaten ranked
ahead of Northwestern. Sorry Mike :-(. On the bright side, Massey
expects Northwestern to beat Indiana, Rice, and Minnesota ;-).
