For sure this is not the Big12 North. Playing in the Big12 North has had a
positive impact on our success the last few seasons. Particularly since we
rarely beat anyone any good outside of that division. I think our best win
outside the division was OSU last year...and I wanted no part of them by
year end. We now play in a tougher conference and tougher division, so I
expect we will not win as much over the years. This year, we also have as
tough a schedule in-conference as you can get, so the thought of us rolling
through with a mediocre team is not realistic. I still hope for 9 wins
(thank goodness we beat Washington). Are we "any worse than a bunch of
other teams we are playing"? Actually, I think we are, but not by a huge
margin. Coaches keep working, players keep working, some good things may
happen. I am not without hope for this weekend!
Speaking of which....it is BIG GAME time!!! This is HUGE! Get your Husker
skivies ready to wear backwards or whatever other brings us luck. This
weekend...it is ON!
