No, not under the influence, just concerned that this year's offense
might be a repeat of last year's but with a defense that isn't as good.
Current rankings (Sagarin's Predictor, which is inline with
http://masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htm) for Nebraska and top-40
opponents are:
15 Nebraska
8 @Wisconsin
30 Ohio State (ranking is suspect since many key players are sitting out)
28 Michigan State
26 @Penn State
18 @Michigan
35 Iowa
If these are to be believed, I am indeed unduly pessimistic. But I
remember that last year's team also looked pretty good on paper early in
the season.
Let's hope I'm wrong.
