I think pretty much everyone is seeing the same thing. The offense is
definitely improving. That first game was pretty ugly, people just seemed
not to know where they were supposed to be much less run the plays
competently. But they have really come around since then. Execution and
poise both looked much better yesterday. Martinez is playing very well.
His throwing motion is just awful, and every pass is going to be an
adventure, but he's doing pretty well with that. Receivers are coming
around too.

The defense is surprisingly not so good. Dennard or no Dennard, it looks
not great beyond the impact of one player. Maybe expectations were too high
for the defense, I don't know, but I thought they would be better than
this. Nothing to do but hope BP coaches them up.

Maher, very nice surprise. Abdullah, very dangerous. Lots of young
potential gamebreakers.

NCAA stats to date:

Total Offense - 51
Passing Offense - 97
Rushing Offense - 11

Sorta looks like Nebraska, doesn't it?

Total Defense - 67
Rushing Defense - 61
Passing Defense - 78

Looks more like Cosgrove than Pelini. He'll fix it though.
