[Husker] NU-OU game

Good morning fellow listers-

Home today as my son recovers from surgery, so I'm doing everything I can to avoid the work I brought home.

Nebraska and Oklahoma, from 1950 until 1995 (the demise of the Big 8) played in Nebraska's final regular season game every year except:

1959 (10/31)
1978 (11/11)
1987  (11/21)

Other years where there were games after the NU-OU game (from Nebraska's perspective):  Any year they played Hawaii (1954, 1971, etc.). And then the Tokyo year (1992 vs. KSU).

The 1940's showed a random distribution  of NU/OU games, including a season opener!

Whether the games were played Thanksgiving weekend or not, I didn't check.  A lot of times, OU played OSU on the last weekend of the year after OU played NU, and college football has sometimes avoided Thanksgiving due to Dallas and Detroit's monopoly on football during the day IIRC.
