[Husker] Baylor Last Impediment to A&M's Move to the SEC

The SEC voted yesterday to admit Texas A&M, but late last night, the SEC amended their decision to add a stipulation that any remaining Big XII schools drop any litigation against the SEC.

It looks like Baylor is the stumbling block.

I wonder if this is a stalling technique to buy the Big XII some time.  I believe the Big XII can be salvaged...potentially even with A&M.  The key is for Texas to shut down the Longhorn Network.  The rumor mill is already rampant that Texas and ESPN are already looking at alternatives for LHN, as Oklahoma is likely to follow A&M out the door. And no other conference will accept LHN for obvious reasons.  So if Texas and ESPN can be convinced to cancel the whole deal, I think there is hope that the Big XII could be salvaged.

LHN is an albatross for both Texas and ESPN at this point.  ESPN has only found two providers to carry LHN at this point, and now that the LHN has already broadcast their designated game this season, has little incentive to convince other cable operators to sign up.  (There is talk that ESPN may transfer ABC's rights to the Kansas/UT game to LHN next month, but even that might not salvage LHN...)
