Bo Pelini did offer a job to Scott Frost.  Frost turned it down by all accounts, so Bo hired Rich Fisher instead.

Subject: [Husker] Coaching the Option

High School???

From the OWH:

"If Taylor Martinez is going to learn to become an option quarterback, he'll
need a mentor. Tommie Frazier? Eric Crouch? Bo Pelini could have hired Scott
Frost to come in and be Martinez's tutor.

Pelini says he already has someone on his staff who knows how to run the
option.

"Me,'' Pelini said. "I ran the option in high school. I played defense, but
I played quarterback, too.''

Bo isn't working with Martinez on details like footwork and decision-making.
He's leaving that up to offensive coordinator Tim Beck, who ran the option
at the same Cardinal Mooney High in Youngstown, Ohio, then later coached it
in high school."
