I seem to recall a few Notre Dame coaches making uni switches to try
to turn things around.  One of them even had one of the assistant
coaches play "Wearin' of the Green" on the bagpipe after practice
on Friday then brought out the fabled green uniforms on Saturday for 
the first time in several years.  They lost that game, and that coach 
is just one of a string of not-successful-enough coaches in South Bend 
lately.  

Think some folks don't regret forcing Lou Holtz out in 1996, with 
100 wins, so that, as some say, he couldn't break Rockne's total 
wins record of 107?  Let's hope that if/when Bo gets close to breaking
Osborne's total wins record at Nebraska that the powers see that as 
something to celebrate!
