[Husker] Game thoughts

Overall...Some good, some bad.

The Good
========

Offense
- At time Taylor looked like the Taylor of old. It appears his injury is
behind him.  His burst is there and had a couple nice 'stop and go' bursts
that made defenders miss.
- Quincy Enunwa looked pretty solid at wideout.  
- Even though he only got the ball once, Turner seems like a PLAYMAKER at
wideout.  SO quick and very elusive.

Defense
- Crick was triple teamed all day and still managed to make a couple big
plays, a good sign for him (TFL, Pass breakup that led to INT)
- Meredith looked VERY good.  He is a new player this year.  His role in the
defense is more of a run stopper, but he was just powering through the line.

- How about Damion Stafford?  That hit he had in the 3rd quarter was
probably the hardest hit I've seen from a Husker in 10 years.  

Special Teams
- Seriously, I give ST an A today (would have been an A+ without the fumbled
punt return and bad first kickoff handling).  
- Abdullah looks pretty electric on the return game
- And how about Maher's kicking??  Wow!  That 50 yarder was a beauty and a
lot of kickoffs were touchbacks.  Not to mention a couple really decent
punts.


The Bad
=======

Offense
- Taylor still makes some head scratcher decisions and stares down receivers
pretty bad
- OLine needs work.  I know they're young.  I know a few are injured.  But
this is year 4 for Barney and we've yet to see the oline live up.  
- I think the 'Freshman 3' are talented, but young.  
- Still too many drops by WR
- Looked very out of sync a lot on the option
- 360 yards vs a 1-aa team and getting stuffed from 1st and goal on the 6
are concerning.

Defense
- Receivers running free....a LOT.  More than we've been used to under
Pelini.  Part of this is the young guys playing with Dennard out.
- Run defense was OK.  But something I think is going to have to get better
in the Big Ten

Special Teams
- Muffed punt (not Abdullah's fault, our own guy ran into him).
- Poorly handled squib in the first half.
