After reading the article, it sure seems to me to be an outright suggestion to the SEC that OU could be the partner for aTm so both would join the SEC. If thats the case there is a lot that could happen in the Smaller Big 12. 
 
Texass goes independent. 
Missouri last year indicated they would like to go to B1G so they are looking.
Iowa State and Kansas State well they will have to go somewhere because there isnt likely to be much TV desire to do the little conference games. Kansas has indicated they would like to be in a tougher basketball conference. And where does Baylor go. Well maybe form an all Texas Conference like there is Houston and a couple of other schools available.
I can see the end of that league.
