[Husker] We are everywhere

I was in Australia last summer, doing my best to follow the ongoing situation with the Big Ten negotiations. During a tour of Sydney, along pulls up a tour bus that disgorges a bunch of Nebraskans easily recognizable from the high preponderance of Husker gear, so I walk up and without any preliminaries we all started talking about the Big Ten situation. My Tennessean in-laws hadn't a clue why from their point of view I suddenly was the focal point of a bunch of strangers halfway around the world. (And as it turns out, there was probably no more than one degree of separation with quite a few of them. The group was from Columbus, both of my parents families are from Platte, Madison and Boone counties.)

My Husker cold-weather gear also found me some friends in Vienna, Austria on New Year's Day, 2005.

We truly are everywhere.
