[Husker] 12 Rules for Success and It's Very Quiet Out there

I'll jump in. I wonder if most listers feel the way I do: I'm finding it hard to come up with an opinion on what's going to happen Saturday.

On the one hand, I think its really weird that we are a 4 point favorite. It just feels like a game that should be a toss up or maybe we should be a 2 or 3 point underdog.

Having said that, what has Michigan State done? They lost to Notre Dame, and ND doesn't exactly look like a very good team right now. With the exception of Wisconsin and possibly Michigan, all of their wins are rather "OK", not spectacular. So, maybe they aren't as good as everyone thinks. Yes, they have a salty D, especially the front 2. But two teams put up 31 on them. Wisconsin's offense might be better than ours, but ND's? I think we can score 3 or 4 TDS on them. Will that be enough? Once again, for me it comes down to this: can our defense hold ANY decent offense to 4 TDS or less? Even though I'm leaning towards the fact that Michigan St. might not be the awesome team everyone thinks they are, I'm still not convinced our defense can play a complete, dominating game.

I think it could be a 28-24 type game....just not sure who comes out on top right now. Evidently Vegas thinks that's us. I hope they're right!

I can't recall a time when there have been NO posts about a game as was the case with the Minnesota game and little to talk about going into the game against the Spartans. Michigan State stands between the Nebraska and the Big 10 championship game. The Spartans are on a roll with 3 quality wins against Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin. The Huskers are a 4 point favorite and better not wait until the 4th quarter to knock their opponents out of the game.
