I agree with Reitch. I live in Michigan too, about 30 miles from Lansing and 60 from Ann Arbor.

I didn't see the game, but dirty play by MSU is not something I hear in the media or Wolverine fans that I know.

But then again, most of my Wolverine fan friends have heard me praise U of Michigan and declare that the Wolverine's were my 11th favorite team in the Big 10. 12th now.

MSU DC Pat Narduzzi is backing down from his statement about
'60 minutes of unnecessary roughness', and MSU is preparing
a report to the Big Ten office on William Gholston's play
against Michigan.

The school has until today to send their report to the Big
Ten, and the Big Ten has three days after that to respond,
so don't be surprised if nothing comes down on this until
AFTER the Wisconsin-MSU game. But Sparty has to travel
to Lincoln next week.

I thought that following the talking that the announcers did about the
plays and about the MSU DC needing to take responsibility, that we
might see some more press about this. One good thing might be increased
sensitivity by the game officials to the conduct of the MSU players for
the next few weeks.

I've lived in MI for over 40 years and have followed both UM and MSU. I
watch UM vs. Notre Dame games and pray that they both will lose the game.
I'm a MSU fan. Mike's original note of MSU having the reputation of being a
dirty team is the first time I have read or heard that. It may be that we
homers don't say/report negative things about MSU here in MI. The UM/MSU
game is always rough because the teams don't like each other. UM is the
media darling around here and MSU is always playing second fiddle. When I
first moved here, MSU was the FB school and UM was the academic school. The
saying used to be "if your feet are big and your brain is small, go to state
and play football". UM had been beating MSU regularly since the late '60s
up until the last 4 years. UM grads and fans are serious whiners. You
should have heard them whine when they had to share the MNC with NU several
years ago. I could hear them whining in Howell and that is 35 miles from
Ann Arbor... If they lose to MSU it's always someone else's fault (ref's,
dirty p[lay, etc.). Having said that, MSU did look like a bunch of
hooligans in the game last week but I don't think that is NOP for them.

Below is the link for the ABC/ESPN map for this Saturday. The Nebraska/Minnesota game will be on either ABC or ESPN2 at 2:30 (CT). Maryland/Florida State and Texas A&M/Iowa State are also being broadcast at the same time on ABC/ESPN.

The map does not include the Oklahoma/Texas Tech and Washington/Stanford games that are both at 7:00 on ABC.

Here is a link for the other games that will be on TV that day:

I know I saw this on the list earlier but I've deleted so much now I
can't find it. When are they likely to announce the game time for the
Michigan State game? I thought I heard early this next week, but I
may have that wrong.

After Saturday's game. It's between NU vs MSU and PSU vs Illinois for the
ABC 2:30 time slot or the earlier ESPN time slot.
