[Husker] MSU 'unnecessary roughness'

I've lived in MI for over 40 years and have followed both UM and MSU. I
watch UM vs. Notre Dame games and pray that they both will lose the game.
I'm a MSU fan. Mike's original note of MSU having the reputation of being a
dirty team is the first time I have read or heard that. It may be that we
homers don't say/report negative things about MSU here in MI. The UM/MSU
game is always rough because the teams don't like each other. UM is the
media darling around here and MSU is always playing second fiddle. When I
first moved here, MSU was the FB school and UM was the academic school. The
saying used to be "if your feet are big and your brain is small, go to state
and play football". UM had been beating MSU regularly since the late '60s
up until the last 4 years. UM grads and fans are serious whiners. You
should have heard them whine when they had to share the MNC with NU several
years ago. I could hear them whining in Howell and that is 35 miles from
Ann Arbor... If they lose to MSU it's always someone else's fault (ref's,
dirty p[lay, etc.). Having said that, MSU did look like a bunch of
hooligans in the game last week but I don't think that is NOP for them.

Subject: [Husker] MSU 'unnecessary roughness'

MSU DC Pat Narduzzi is backing down from his statement about
'60 minutes of unnecessary roughness', and MSU is preparing
a report to the Big Ten office on William Gholston's play
against Michigan.

The school has until today to send their report to the Big
Ten, and the Big Ten has three days after that to respond,
so don't be surprised if nothing comes down on this until
AFTER the Wisconsin-MSU game. But Sparty has to travel
to Lincoln next week.
