Columnists think it is their job to be a social irritant, and some of
them are remarkably good at it.

A former OWH sportswriter told me that when some of his colleages got 
under his skin he just reminded them that if they were really talented, 
they wouldn't be working in Omaha!

Stewart Mandel had a great line recently:

   Since 1996, TCU has changed conferences five times. The Big 12 
   should probably request a prenup just in case.
