[Husker] Coach vs. Media (was News Conference)

I didn't listen to the whole press conference, but I thought it wasn't until Dirk asked about Martinez that things went downhill.  I could be wrong.

Can we at least agree that Bo handled this better than Steve Spurrier?

Spurrier today refused to hold his weekly press conference as long as Ron Morris remained in attendance.

I don't know Mike, that's not really so.  Pelini brought it up and he was looking for a fight.  He was short to the point of rudeness way before DC asked his first question.   (and this is after a great win!  I wonder what he would have been like if we had lost)  The exchange went like this:

**Note - all quotes may not be word for word...hard to hear.**

DC: "hey Bo, what impressed you most about Taylor tonight?"

BP: "You watched the game.  You figure it out.  What do you think?"

DC: "I thought he played with a lot of poise."

BP: "So did I.  Especially considering the articles and everything you did to rattle the guy."

DC: "Who did?"

BP: "You did.  I read your article. Friday."

DC: "What did you think of the crowd at the end of the first half?"

BP: "What do you think?  I could care less."

DC: " It looked like you..."  unintelligible

BP:  "I didn't do anything like..."  unintelligible

DC:  "Did that motivate you guys hearing the boos at the end of the half"

BP: "Our team is motivated.  Period."

DC: "Do you think Taylor would have been able to..."  here angrily interrupted by Pelini.

BP: "I'm done with you. (Stuttering)  Let's get somebody who asks a question that's worth answering.
