[Husker] Has there ever been a worse defense on 3rd down?

I think that repression and denial have caused you to forget how bad our
defense was under Cosgroves. No problem, his defense gave up 58 yesterday
and we will see in a couple weeks how many we can hang on him.
I can't believe how quick people are to turn on the coaches. The Pelini's
were God's Gift to Defense the last two years and now = Cosgrove?
When I tried to be objective, I did not see us winning the game yesterday. I
had watched Wisconsin some and thought they were the better team in a
difficulty stadium. After the game, I think we were beat by a very good
team. The have a very experienced quarterback, and he doesn't make mistakes.
I was disappointed that we appeared to panic when we got behind 20-14.
Martinez made some bad decisions and poor throws, but the coaches put him in
a position to make those mistakes by moving away from the run. I don't think
Martinez is ever going to be known as a great passing quarterback, but the
coaches decided that we were going to win that game passing the ball.
I have always said that when you see a team come out of the gate with gadget
plays their coaches don't feel they can play football with the other team. I
got the same feeling with the quick shift to throwing the ball.
