While Nebraska lost big at Camp Randall tonight, it is not all doom and gloom.

Nebraska was very physical with Wisconsin and the Badgers may be fairly banged up for the next few games. As ugly as it looked, Nebraska appears to not have any injuries coming out this game.

The game was still in hand until Nebraska stopped running the ball. I do not know why they do this, but it seems to be standard operating procedure: have success running he ball, then start throwing it and the game gets out of hand.

The coaches need to put Taylor Martinez into situations in which he will be successful. He is only a sophomore. He played okay. I did not like the play calling in the second half.

At the time, it was 14-13, then the turn overs let it get away. Even if Nebraska had kicked two field goals instead of throwing three interceptions that led to 21 points, it would have been game. Oh well, that is how it goes.

The officials missed a huge face mask against Rex Burkhead, that may have led to them scoring on Nebraska's last drive. Oh well, that is how it goes sometimes.

The season is not over, Nebraska can still win their division and play in the Big-10 Championship game. Depending on how banged up Wisconsin really is, they could lose to Michigan State and possibly Ohio State.

I agree with Jeff Brown's post that Nebraska shot themselves in their foot. Wisconsin has some studs on offense and a huge offensive line, but they are definitely beatable. Hopefully, Nebraska will recover from this loss, win their division, and play in the Big-10 Championship game.

I did not see any issues with leaving Taylor Martinez in for the game. He needs this kind of experience to mature and lead the team. I would not get too down on him. Yes, he threw three interceptions, but I do believe that the play calling was a huge contributor.

Lack of experience in the defensive secondary hurt Nebraska in this game. Hopefully, they will get better as the season progresses.

The team did not appear to give up and quit. Momentum was definitely with Wisconsin at the end of the game. I appreciated how hard Nebraska played even though the game was out of hand.

This is a good team. They are young and still inexperienced, but they still should be the insider for their division.

You cannot turn the ball over on the road and hope to win. If the coaches can get the team over this loss, I would say what out Ohio State. You know that Bo wants to beat his old team, especially with the loss to Wisconsin and the Big-10 home opener.

Go Big Red!
