[Husker] Heading into the Big-10 and what we've learned so far

I am hopeful but my optimism is tempered by the uncertainty of the
inconsistency of execution by the offense and defense.
My hope lays in knowing that the Pelini brothers and entire staff have
probably been looking ahead at this game. The importance for them is not to
lay an egg and get the new league off on a bad start. This is nationally
visible and significant. Add to the fact that the Badgers are being talked
about for a national championship, their QB's intriguing story and the
opportunity is there for Bo Pelini to push tNU back to the forefront of
national relevance.
If they get blown out its not the end of the world but not the way you want
to start this off.
The staff will be aware of this and if there were a game to pull out all the
stops and gamble, this is it (in my opinion). So I expect they may do some
unusual things on special teams, offense and dial up the defense.
Is that enough? I have no idea, but it feeds my hope which intriques my
sense of optimism.
