[Husker] personal opinion

The media seems to form their own opinion then write it or just make it up. Why do they even need a press conference? They just watched the game, write about it, that is their job. Do they really need to speak to the coach(es) or players right after the game? No. It is all about who can get what out the fastest, sell the most, and make the biggest profit. I really don't blame Pelini for being short with the media. If I were asked the same question a 100 different ways I would get short in my replies too. His job is to coach the football team. I would prefer that the university cancel all of the press conferences until after the season. Hold a "preseason" and "post season" news conference, and thats it. Let the so called "professionals" (media) come up with their own stories rather than writing about what a coach says, how he said it, or with what kind of tone. I try NOT to read the "opinion" stories that are written. I will read about a player or what happened at practice, but I don't care if Pelini offended someone by how he answered a question. Head coaches usually have amongst the toughest view of a game. They are at field level, hard to see all that happens, but they are expected to comment on it immediately after? Deadlines? News is 24/7. Every major newspaper or media outlet has a website. There are no more "deadlines" Internet is 24/7. Write it, review it, and post it. 5 minutes. Then put it in tomorrows paper.
