I read the article, and have a couple comments as requested ( although not exclusively about the article)
It has always seemed foolish to me to have a press conference immediately after a game. T he emotions (high or low) are still too close to the surface and have not been attenuated by some time to consider them, the memory is too fresh, the attitude of the coach is too sharp, the analysis of what went right or wrong has just begun, to expect to get some thoughtful responses to what are sometimes "gotcha" questions, or questions that expose the questioner's point of view. The responder has seconds to hear a question, think about a response, think about how to present a response and then to actually answer; the questioner has minutes, perhaps hours to create an article.
now, wrt the opinion expressed in the article: I agree that Bo or any coach does not owe us, the fans, more than his best at coaching. As another poster has said, you knew what Bo was all about when you hired him and you hired him anyway - if you wanted a public speaking expert, you should have hired one. While I might like someone who could "handle the media" better than Bo often does, I would prefer that that person produce a team that I, as an alumnus and a fan, can always been proud of.
