I believe the history of the Big Ten over the last 40 years shows
that the Big Ten seldom has one team dominate it for long. And
the conference is usually good for a couple of big upsets each year.
There's a good chance that 10 out of 12 teams will be bowl eligible
(Purdue still needs one win, but they play Indiana next week),
and the way Minnesota has been playing of late, (even if not winning,
suggests that they could make a run at bowl eligibility next year.
Jerry Kill is a very good coach, and his players are starting to
believe what he's saying.
Indiana, well, that's a different story. Kevin Wilson did a good job
at Miami of Ohio, Northwestern and Oklahoma, but being a great assistant
is different than being a great head coach. (There were Northwestern
fans who were not sad to see KW leave for Oklahoma, either, they
thought his in-game coaching adjustments were unimpressive.)
