Tom Osborne was smart enough to not comment on Joe Paterno when Shatel 
asked him today.  On the other hand, Perlman is dumb enough to come out 
and laud Spanier as a "great personal friend" who did great things for 
Nebraska.  Seriously Harvey...just shut up.  Nebraska doesn't need to be 
associated with this clown in 2011, in spite of the work he did for 
Nebraska in the early 90's.  To start off your statement by wishing the 
best for Spanier, and not mention the victims until the 2nd paragraph is 
bizarre.  That first paragraph never should have been published.
