This probably has nothing to do with Penn State.

A 1300 foot wide asteroid will miss hitting the Earth by around 200,000 miles this evening, or less than the distance from the Earth to the Moon.

Just thought people would like to know that not all the earth-shattering news is focused on Happy Valley.
