I recall that when Bo was the interim coach for the bowl game against
MSU, the MSU coach said they were having trouble preparing for the
game because of uncertainty due to the coaching changes. I don't recall
if Nebraska was favored in that game, which they won.

The emotional factors are going to be the hard ones to predict. Will
they be flat or will they 'win one for JoePa', who may or may not
even be present?

Me, I'd probably encourage/let Joe retire in January, which was always
a possibility this year anyway. But will the sharks let that happen now
that there's blood in the water?

And I think I'd ask Graham Spanier to step down immediately.

Let's face it, most of us can probably name the head football coach at most
if not all of the Big Ten schools and possibly at a majority of the FBS
schools, how many of us can name more than three or four Big Ten University
Presidents or Chancellors?

Deciding who gets to pick the person who gets to pick the next football
coach at Penn State could be interesting.
