IMHO the level of success was NOT what got Solich fired, it was, I believe,
a long-standing vendetta on the part of his AD.  And we all know what
a mess THAT led to.  

Frank Solich, by the way, has Ohio bowl-eligible again this year, leading 
the division, too.
