Martinez was going against a terrible defense, so I'm not sure why you're taking so much out of a mediocre offensive performance. The defense didn't play great but Nebraska should have been able to put up more than 25 points today.

Even though we lost, I have to say Taylor stepped up with his poise and passing. I have to say the color guy with BTN I can't stand because you can tell he is a Husker hater. At the same time, we clearly overlooked this team. Rex was obviously playing hurt. I have never seen him look for the sidelines like today. I think he did what he was physically capable of. This team IMOP was just flat with the exception of Martinez, and I wonder why? As well we all do. Taylor played IMOP the best game of his career. I think he came of age today and believe me I had some doubt about him. I am now convinced he is our QB of the future. I really worry about our defense against the B1G. We were wired to Defense the Big 12, now we have to recruit the players we need for playing in this league. Even with a loss, IMOP Martinez became the QB we hoped he could be. Not pretty but effective. My concerns now are actually on the Defense next year and in the future. I don't understand how this coachin
g staff could think it could be better then the last 2 B shirts D's? Hope we get some great recruits and I am sure the recruits at the game today, some high profile have the same thoughts. As always. GBR. This one was really bad though. Hope the team doesn't do what they did last year.
