I have no clue as to whether the resignation announcement was rushed,
but it appears from the press release from OSU that they anticipate
this isn't over, or going to get better any time soon.  They basically
said due to the firestorm surrounding the issues at OSU, they accepted
his resignation.  They didn't say they urged him to resign, but I'd
bet they may have asked if he would.

As far as Pelini goes, face it.  Its a big honor to be the OSU coach,
especially for someone from Ohio.  But its now officially a messy job,
and its not going to get better in the near future.  I suspect the
current 5 week suspensions of the players is not going to be the last
word on that.  But if Bo feels so strongly to leave Nebraska and go
help rescue OSU, I say let him.  I don't think it will happen, but you
couldn't really blame him, could you?
