I'm guessing the distraction is his hype coming in. Just as Sam says,
he may be faster than Martinez, but likes contact. He's got an arm
that is probably better than anyone currently on the team. I'd guess
the distraction is going to be caused by everyone oogling the kid - he
may become the fall focus, with less attention paid to other players
and positions. Will that affect the team? I doubt Pelini will allow
it, but that won't stop the media from asking the same dumb question
over and over again - "So, what's it like playing next to/against
Bubba???"
Heck, if they are showing up in his home town to ask questions at an
early morning practice, what might it be like at Memorial Stadium come
fall practice?
