[Husker] FW: SportsNation and EA's "NCAA Football Traditions"

When I've heard reference to Nebraska's great "history and tradition," I've always thought it was about the best of all possible traditions -- consistent excellence between the lines. Winning. Bowl games. Championships. All-American players. Legendary coaches. Over-achieving walk-ons (now THERE'S a tradition!). Whippin' tail and takin' names for decades.

A&M can have the tradition title, for all I care. They're up to about 60 or 70 of them I think.

We all hear recruits and coaches talk about Nebraska's "great tradition." The great tradition of winning.

Horseshoe, huh?

When you think about it, Nebraska's "traditions" are pretty weak overall.
Tunnel walk isn't even 20 years old, and besides, it was created by that rat
b*rd Steve Pederson. We could go with the "Husker! Power!" chant, I suppose. Or
maybe that "Gooooo Biiiiig Reeeedddd... GOBIGRED!" chant. Only about 1/3 of the
stadium "waves the corn" after a touchdown, and we stole that from Kansas.
Everyone wearing red, perhaps? Runzas?

If anything, I'd go with "50 years of sellouts" this fall.

Agree with you Roger. Touching the horseshoe is a tradition?
Yeah...maybe...I guess. Certainly not in the same sense as say ...touching
Howard's rock at Clemson. But I'll vote for Nebraska anyway. (of course!)
