For further information, this article by the Cleveland Plain Dealer is
interesting (http://tinyurl.com/3zubuot).

These sanctions they put on themselves was in response to the NCAA's
notice of violations. OSU assumes now they are square with the NCAA
and these sanctions will be enough to satisfy the NCAA, and they don't
believe any more sanctions would be necessary. And, it looks like
they've decided to blame it all on Tressel. Tressel will attend the
meeting OSU has with the NCAA in August. Oh, and they removed
Tressel's $250,000 fine for his part in the violations, they are
calling his leaving a retirement rather than a resignation, and paid
him $50,000. Do you think he's now more willing to tell the NCAA it
was all his fault?

Now, I have nothing against Ohio State, or Jim Tressel, and I wish
them well in the future. But it certainly is amusing to see the
wiggling they are going through in damage control.

Just glad its not us.
