Wow. That's a shock to me, the ESPN / Westwood One combo was nice.

I go back and forth with Cowherd, but I like Rome better. The Fox afternoon stuff is TERRIBLE, so I'm glad they kept Unsportsmanlike. They're nighttime stuff is ok I guess.

Too bad that doesn't bring back Dan Patrick or even better Kornheiser.

For those in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, 1620 just announced a format and
affiliate change. They are dropping ESPN and moving to a combo Fox/Westwood
One affiliate.

Daytime format starting in February:

5am-8am a new show. Forgot the name, but it's a Westwood show, not Steven A
Smith from Fox (thank you!)

Schick/Nick moves to 8am-11am
Jim Rome 11-2 (moves from 590)

Unsportsmanlike 2-6 (the same)

Between Fox and Westwood One they have locked in lots of live games.

Westwood One sports programming:

Kind of was hoping they'd go Sporting News Radio and not Fox. I like the SNR
lineup and listen online. I will miss Mike and Mike from ESPN in the mornings,
but I have grown tired of most of the rest of the ESPN radio programming.

With Kugler moving up in Westwood One, this change does not surprise me.
