Not quite sure about your analogy there. Only three of the managers actually
worked under the CEO, though two others did have an internship many, many years
previously. And two of those three managers had only worked under the CEO for
two months prior to you rejoining the organization, as the CEO had left the
organization years earlier and had only just recently returned.

Give it a different perspective.
You are the VP of a division of a medical manufacturer organization. Your boss
is the CEO. Four the managers in your division have worked under the CEO in
various capacities before you came to the organization.
Knowing that one of the strong character traits of your CEO is loyalty, would
you have any problems firing those managers and replacing them with your own
people?
