In one of those articles I linked the paper had a quote from one of the players who said Miles told them he was staying on as coach of LSU. I thought I'd link that so that you could do more searching if you wanted to.

  Thanks for that link.  I wonder what his exact words were.  The only quotes are from players and they kind of conflict.  I don't think Miles would say unequivocally that he is staying no matter what.  If he was going to say such a thing to his players, he would probably say it publicly as well, this is just not an underhanded kind of guy.  I think he probably left some wiggle room and the rest is wishful thinking on the part of the players.  But not sure because there are no direct quotes attributed to Miles.

  Having no more knowledge than anyone else about this, my take is that if Michigan offers Miles will accept.  LSU then talks to Pelini?  I have no clue about that one.

     Did he give his word that he wouldn't take the Michigan job if offered or something he wouldn't leave LSU or something else along those lines?  I hadn't seen that.
