Good perspective, good info, good post.

I gotta pile on here. Bo and Carl built that defense to STOP the
spread. The Peso position is a safety/corner in a linebacker
position, putting basically a dime defense with a single linebacker
(Dillard and David) on the field against 4 and 5 wideouts. And it
worked. Look at Texas, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Missouri. Where we
will likely have trouble is the more traditional offenses - two tight
ends, full backfield. We haven't been using the more traditional
beefy MLB and speedier but bigger OLB's that contact the runner at the
line. And that's where we're gonna have trouble in the Big 10 because
that's what we'll see more of, rather than the spread or air raid
offenses. Let's hope that Compton and Fisher are up to it.

Mobile QB's are ALWAYS a problem, for everyone. Let's watch Newton
tonight and see what a smart mobile 250 pound QB can do against a
smaller but quicker defense. The Ducks may beat them, and limit the
damage, but they aren't gonna stop him, I'd bet.
