According to local press, Harbaugh expressed his interest in 49er job.
Stated his price as 7+ mill and the young York claimed "money is no object"
We'll see if Papa York pulls the pursestrings back! That has been a big part of
49ers problems since Uncle Eddy got in so much trouble -- Papa York is a
cheapskate!

It looks like Miami is making a big play for him, as in big $$. I hear they're
willing to offer him something like $8 million a year. (Of course there's
also the minor detail that they haven't fired their current coach yet.)

Yeah, I suspect there aren't very many teams who wouldn't take Luck if he
said he would only go there, unless the price to pay for that privilege
was just too high. I was never an Elway fan because of that stunt,
and I still cheer against the Broncos.
And there's no guarantee that he'll succeed (or stay healthy) in the NFL.
For every Elway, there are several QBs who fall short of expectations,
like Vince Young did in Tennessee. Remember Tim Couch or Ryan Leaf?
And the possibility of a full season NFL work stoppage is high enough that
it could really hurt the under-classmen who decide to go this year, because
a year from now there will another crop of talented players to draft.
