[Husker] ESPN fires Ron Franklin

[Sue Smith]

Good riddance to Ron Franklin.  He was the guy verbally Larry Asante in 2009.  Franklin also seemed out of it a few times calling games this year.  I hope he enjoys his retirement; it is long overdue.

Yes, according to the report at ESPN on the incident.  The "sweet
baby" comment was followed by her request that he not speak to her
that way, which was followed by his last remark.

Gee, and he seemed like a nice, doddering old fool when he did the
Husker games. Guess that Situational Tourette's Syndrome got the best
of him.
