So what you're saying is that Bo Pelini cannot or should not make any staff moves without Tom Osborne's influence or direction, which is really just another way of saying that Pelini really can't pick his own staff.

Taken from a certain perspective, it could be said that Osborne hamstrung Solich by asking him to keep assistants around longer than they should have stayed, could it be that Dr. Tom might do the same to Pelini?

(BLASPHEMY ARGH TOM OSBORNE CAN DO NO WRONG EVER ANYWHERE IN HEAVEN OR EARTH BURN TO ASHES AFTER SPENDING 900 NIGHTS WITH YOUR CROTCH INFESTED WITH FIRE! ARGGGHHH)

I don't see any changes coming, but I don't think Shawn Watson fits with what they're trying to do at Nebraska. And Barney Cotton - man, until we can see an offensive line that can run block without constantly committing false starts and holding penalties, Cotton will remain but a zit on Milt Tenopir's rear end with regards to coaching acumen.

Solich probably did ride the coaches that were in place when he took the helm too long. I still think the end was a joke, but we can see how Peddy handles things as an AD. Pelini and Watson have a great mentor, teacher and one of the greatest minds in college football as an AD. Further, if there are changes to the staff, it will come with a great deal of discussion with Dr. Tom. I'm 100% sure that he has been in a position to know a lot more than any of us on this board. I also trust Dr. Tom and Coach Bo to make the right decisions for Husker football. Until they work through the process, the offense we may have to settle for the offensive posts by the trolls on this list.
