[Husker] Shatel: Pelini Making Calls to NFL for Watson

I hadn't seen McKeown's piece, but as near as I can tell, he's just the second
in that category. Last Friday, Pelini explained to Shatel how he couldn't
comment on Sanders at that point, and that Kevin Wilson had let the cat out of
the bag prematurely.

Last week, it had been made clear that Pelini was not going to discuss staff
changes at the press conference. I understand why the reporters asked what they
asked. That's their job, and they had to ask it. But they should not have been
surprised or disappointed by Pelini's response. I don't think he went
"attitude" at all, at least from what I've read.

I have heard a few fans playing the tyrant card, but I don't know if it's grown
beyond that. I think when everything is said and done in the end, Pelini is
going to look a lot better and some fans and commentators are going to look
pretty foolish.

Oh, sorry again, I thought that was what you meant when you wrote about " he
plays the no comment/I'll comment on it when I'm ready to card, he's being a
tyrant and out of touch with fans." My bad. Here is a link with a little about
this:

Maybe it's just Sam, but I don't think so.

I haven't read or heard anybody in the local media (other than one guy on KFAB)
criticizing Pelini's handling of this situation. But I could have missed
something.
