I haven't read or heard anybody in the local media (other than one guy on KFAB)
criticizing Pelini's handling of this situation. But I could have missed
something.

Oh ok, I thought someone was slamming him for trying to find spots for the
coaches he is letting go, that wouldn't be right. I've seen the negative stuff
about the way he has responded to the questions that have come up about coaching
changes. I think the local media is finally starting to speak up about the way
they have to deal with Pelini. Or the way he deals with them, or whatever.
Their take seems to be that no matter what comes up or what questions they ask,
Pelini takes an antagonistic posture. They have to take the crap he lays on
them because they can't do their jobs without access, so they have to suck up.
But it feels like they are getting fed up. The Indiana coach says there is a
coaching change with Nebraska, and so they asked Pelini about it...the right
thing to do. He goes attitude. A job posting for a coach gets posted, they ask
him about it...the right thing to do. He goes attitude. He clearly holds them
in contempt, as he seems to hold a lot of people, and he is abrasive almost
constantly. It's just the way he is and has always been but I think they are
getting sick of it. If this guy ever starts losing, they will smell blood in
the water and go for him.

I have seen some criticism that Pelini is either not doing anything about the
offense, or that Pelini is screwing it by either leaving some coaches hanging or
being unafraid to replace coaches. Or that because he plays the no comment/I'll
comment on it when I'm ready to card, he's being a tyrant and out of touch with
fans.
