[Husker] Big Ten/Pac-12 Scheduling Agreement

I would love to see the Big 10 play a Pac 12 and SEC team each year;
however, the Big 10 has a terrible bowl record against the SEC. The Pac 12
is much easier for them. To use a restaurant analogy, the Big 10 may have
over-ordered when setting up their bowl match-ups. It seems they always
play a higher ranked team from the representative conference.
However, the because the Big 10 gets very little respect in SECland, it may
be worth it to play the game. (My daughters go to Auburn and tOSU is a
running joke regarding their losing National Titles to Florida in both
Basketball and Football in the same year).
It would be risky though as the prime Big 10 teams may get knocked out of
contention early. Imagine an early tOSU loss to Georgia and Michigan to LSU
on the same weekend. (Note see PSU vs. Alabama). It would really screw up
the Big 10 down the road...GO NU and WISC.
Ironically, NU has a good record vs. the SEC. However, they actually lost
credibility with many of my coworkers by joining the Big 10. It was seen as
a move down in "toughness" from the Big 12. I am not sure that I agree with
this assessment. I think NU's schedule was much more difficult this year
than it would have been in the Big 12.
