OK, so here's another set of 'data'.

All of his classes from 1989 until 1997 were ranked in the top 20 by Wallace
(SuperPrep and wrote for a while for USA Today and I think he's with Rivals
now) every year but one.

Lemming ranked us in the top 10 1992, 1995, 1996.

Emfinger (USA Today) rated us in the top 10 in 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996.

According to this site, Nebraska had only # 10 class per Lemming prior to
1995, a #5 class in 1995 and a #10 class in 1996. (Was Nebraska's 2005
class really the #1 class by Lemming?)

I know someone who is a former OWH sportswriter and a long-time fishing
companion of Tom Osborne. He says that the biggest change Osborne made
leading up to his final five years was to alter the defense, which started
with a change in recruiting strategy in about 1988/89.
