While this does not directly answer your question about London...I thought
it was cool.
Last year my best friend (a Michigan State grad) retired, sold all his
earthly possessions, bought a sailboat, and he and his wife sailed away
into retirement. They spent hurricane season far south and were anchored
at a small island called Carriacou just north of Grenada. Maybe a few
hundred people live there and civilization is not what we think of. It was
the weekend of the Neb - MSU came and he asked one of the locals if there
was a place to watch a college football game from the US. "Oh yea
mon...you got to go to da Pit. You talk wid Superbutterfly....he own da
place you know. Superbutterfly got a TV and dish mon. All da peoples who
watch dat football go to da Pit." So my boy hires a fellow named Shademan
to drive him to the Pit. It was apparently a pretty rough drive up the
sparsely inhabited coast but they found the Pit and found Superbutterfly.
"C'mon in mon, I know just dat game you want. Already got a big crowd for
dat game."
There were 7 other people in the Pit. 3 were wearing Nebraska t-shirts.
Gotta be Huskers in London, mon.
